Dear
Friends,
During the first half of the
122nd Legislative Session, I was pleased to
sponsor and support a number of important bills.
My personal legislative focus,
however, centered around two important areas: Small
Business Development and Identity
Theft.
During the month of May, I was
pleased to join my House colleague and co-chair
of the Business, Research, and Economic Development
Committee Nancy Smith as we highlighted the
great accomplishments of Maine Businesses.
We called it: Maine
is Working Month.
As Maine's new economy moves
forward, we must stay positive and invest in
our small businesses. Using doom and gloom
rhetoric when referring to our business climate
is no solution for success (see "Don't
Put Government on Auto Pilot" special
to the Portland Press Herald). Below please find a list of some
