Senator Goodall was sworn in for his first term as
a State Senator on December 3, 2008. Seth showed
a propensity for entrepreneurship and public service
at an early age. At 12 years old, Seth started a
small-business pushing a lawn mower across town.
Soon thereafter, he started Goodall Landscaping with
his brother, Ben. Today, Goodall Landscaping, now
operating out of Topsham, employs 12 people year-round,
growing to nearly 50 people seasonally.
Following high school, Seth continued running
Goodall Landscaping with his brother and studied
at the University of Connecticut, graduating with
a B.S. and M.S. from the College of Agriculture
and Natural Resources. Seth is also a 2005 graduate
from the University of Maine School of Law, where
he met his wife, LeAnn. At Maine Law, he was active
in student government and the Cumberland Legal
Aid Clinic, representing low-income individuals.
After law school, Seth and LeAnn moved to Richmond,
and in 2007, Seth ran and was elected by a wide
margin to the Richmond Selectboard. Seth serves
as Chair of the board, focusing on restoring the
downtown, creating jobs and prospering small business,
improving the town's public properties and programs,
and exploring partnerships to create cost savings,
while working to protect the town's rural character
and sense of community. Seth represented Richmond
on the K.I.D.S. (RSU #1) School Regionalization
Planning Committee and serves on the Richmond's
Economic Community Development Board and the Land
Use Ordinance Review Board.
Seth practices law at McCloskey, Mina, Cunniff & Dilworth
and serves on the University of Maine School of
