Senator Barry Hobbins
On December 6, 2006, Barry Hobbins was sworn in
for his second term as the Senator from District
Five to the 123rd Maine Legislature.
Senator Hobbins continues his Legislative service,
which began for him at the age of 21 when he was
elected to the 106th Maine Legislature as a State
Representative. Sen. Hobbins went on to serve five
more consecutive House terms followed by an additional
term in the 114th Legislature as a State Senator.
His return to the Maine Senate for a second term
brings with him a unique blend of legal, business,
public policy, and community service, which he has
gained and developed since his last legislative service.
Outside of the legislature, Barry Hobbins is an
attorney, and a partner in a practice in Saco. These
skills are put to good use as Sen. Hobbins is the
Senate Chair of the Judiciary Committee. In addition
to his post as chair, Sen. Hobbins is also a member
of the Utilities and Energy Committee.
Barry Hobbins lives in Saco, Maine with his wife
Donna and they are the proud parents of three children.
Senate District 5 includes the communities of Buxton,
Dayton, Old Orchard Beach, Saco and part of Biddeford.
