Welcome to the Maine Senate Democrats Policy Center! From this portal, you can find information on what Senate Democrats are working on to make Maine a better place.

Like every legislature we had an ambitious agenda. The goals of Legislative Democrats at the beginning of the session were to balance the budget without raising taxes, provide tax relief to Maine people, end discrimination in our marriage laws, expand access to quality health care and put Maine on a path to energy sustainability. We accomplished these goals.

Under the cloud of a global economic crisis Democrats enacted a legislative agenda that will have a positive impact on our state long after the recession ends.
