Sen. Chipman earns perfect attendance record in 2018 legislative session
Sen. Ben Chipman, D-Portland, earned a perfect attendance and voting record during the recently concluded legislative session.
“I am proud to attend every single day and make my constituents’ voices heard,” said Sen. Chipman.
During the 2nd Regular Session of the 128th Maine Legislature, Sen. Chipman cast 100 percent of the votes recorded, excluding absences excused by the President of the Senate for illness or other extenuating circumstances. This year, lawmakers cast votes to protect the minimum wage, improve transparency in pricing of prescription medicine and increase access to the life-saving, anti-overdose drug naloxone.
Sen. Chipman also had a 100 percent attendance record last year and every year since being elected to the Maine Legislature in 2010.
