Sen. Dill welcomes championship UMaine women’s basketball team to the Maine Senate

AUGUSTA — On Thursday, Sen. Jim Dill, D-Old Town, welcomed the America East Conference champion University of Maine Black Bears Women’s Basketball team to the Maine Senate and presented the team with an official legislative sentiment recognizing their successful season.

Head Coach Amy Vachon and senior standouts Tanesha Sutton and Parise Rossignol were on hand to receive the sentiment, along with University of Maine Director of Athletics Ken Ralph and Senior Associate Athletic Director Seth Woodcock. The Coach and players took the photograph below with Sen. Dill and Rep. Ryan Tipping, D-Orono, in the Senate Chamber immediately preceding the day’s legislative session.
