Sen. Lawrence earns perfect attendance record in 2019 legislative session
AUGUSTA — Sen. Mark Lawrence, D-Eliot, earned a perfect attendance and voting record during the recently concluded legislative session. He is one of 21 Senate Democrats to receive a perfect attendance score.
“Showing up and doing the work is very important to me,” said Sen. Lawrence. “My record shows how committed I am to representing the people of southern York County.”
During the 1st Regular Session of the 129th Maine Legislature, Sen. Lawrence cast a total of 321 votes – 100 percent of the votes recorded, excluding absences excused by the Senate President for illness or other extenuating circumstances. This year, lawmakers cast critical votes to hold “Big Pharma” accountable and lower the cost of prescription drugs, provide $130 million in property tax relief and put renewable energy back on track.
The 129th Legislature adjourned June 20 and is set to reconvene in January.
