Sen. Millett earns high marks for pro-environmental voting record

Posted: August 30, 2018 | Senator Millett

Sen. Rebecca Millett, D-Cape Elizabeth, made the “2017-18 Honor Roll” from the Maine Conservation Voters for her consistent support for the state’s environment, as well as policies that protect public health from toxic chemicals and advance the development and adoption of clean, renewable energy.

Maine Conservation Voters scored nine key environmental votes during this year’s legislative session. Sen. Millett received a 100 percent score for her votes.

“Preserving Maine’s natural resources, for our physical and mental health as well as our economy, is one of the most important actions we can take as legislators,” said Sen. Millett. “Maine simply wouldn’t be the same without them, so I’m proud of the votes I’ve taken on these issues.”

Sen. Millett joins 14 other Senate Democrats and one Senate Republican who earned perfect scores for their votes on conservation, energy efficiency, clean power generation and public health.
