Sen. Brenner backs Scarborough nominees during Senate confirmation session
AUGUSTA – On Tuesday, Sept. 20, Sen. Stacy Brenner, D-Scarborough, voted in support of three Scarborough residents during the Maine Senate’s confirmation session.
“We may not see it on a daily basis, but the truth is that our state relies on everyday people to step up and serve the public’s best interests on various boards, commissions and courts,” said Sen. Brenner. “I always love seeing those from our community serving, and it was my honor to support these nominees from Scarborough both for new and existing roles. Congratulations to them all!”
The three Scarborough residents confirmed on Tuesday were:
- Daniel J. Mitchell, Esq., appointed as a District Court Judge
- Alyssa C. Tibbetts, Esq., reappointed to another term on the Labor Relations Board
- Jean Ginn Marvin, reappointed to another term on the Community College System Board of Trustees
In accordance with the Maine Constitution, the Senate met on Tuesday, Sept. 20 solely to confirm 45 people nominated to various boards, commissions and courts by Gov. Janet Mills.
