Sen. Brenner shares MDOT work plan for state bridge and road projects
AUGUSTA – Sen. Stacy Brenner, D-Scarborough, is pleased to announce the details of Maine’s three-year transportation infrastructure work plan, and what it means for Senate District 30. The plan is released annually with an outline of the Maine Department of Transportation’s strategy for road, bridge and other transportation upgrades and maintenance projects.
“I’m glad Gorham and Scarborough roads and infrastructure will receive some necessary improvements,” said Sen. Brenner. “Getting to and from work, as well as commuting to other communities, is very important to people who live in our towns and those who are visiting. I’m glad the plan will assist with that.”
According to the MDOT, the work plan covers a historic $4.74 billion worth of construction and maintenance. This is thanks to a vital bipartisan investment approved in the Legislature last year. A more detailed breakdown of the statewide, three-year plan can be found here.
