AUGUSTA – Sen. Mattie Daughtry, D-Brunswick, is pleased to announce the details of Maine’s three-year transportation infrastructure work plan, and what it means for Senate District 23. The plan is released annually with an outline of the Maine Department of Transportation’s strategy for road, bridge and other transportation upgrades and maintenance projects.

“I am very happy to share the details for these important infrastructures projects,” said Sen. Daughtry. “I know that the recent storms have damaged our bridges and roads, so it is critical that we continue to invest in them — as well as re-build them with climate resiliency in mind.”

According to the MDOT, the work plan covers a historic $4.74 billion worth of construction and maintenance. This is thanks to a vital bipartisan investment approved in the Legislature last year. A more detailed breakdown of the statewide, three-year plan can be found here.
