Sen. Beebe-Center earns score of 100% from Maine Women’s Lobby

AUGUSTA — Sen. Pinny Beebe-Center, D-Rockland, earned a perfect score from the Maine Women’s Lobby for votes during the second session of the 132nd Legislature. She also earned a 100% score for the 132nd Legislature as a whole.

“As chair of the Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee, I know how important it is for survivors to have someone they trust to turn to,” said Sen. Beebe-Center. “This session, we sustained funding for the advocates who serve them, invested in childcare and supported access to family planning care. I’m proud to have earned a 100% score across the entirety of this Legislature and even though I will not be returning to the Legislature, I’ll keep working for the safety and independence of women and families across Knox County.”

Sen. Beebe-Center has been an outspoken advocate for women’s rights and health throughout her career in public service.

Sen. Beebe-Center is serving her second term in the Maine Senate, representing Senate District 12 in Knox County. She serves as Senate chair of the Legislature’s Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee and as a member of the State and Local Government Committee.
