Jan. 19 — To the Editor:

Now that Paul Violette (is expected to serve) jail time for allegedly defrauding the Maine Turnpike Authority and its customers, kudos to Think Again and Dawn Hill for standing up to the bullying tactics of the MTA are in order. However, he will be serving no more than five years.

Had I been the judge, all his assets would have been forfeited and he would have been required to be a toll collector to pay off the remainder of his debt.
