Orono High School cross country runner of the year honored at the State House

Tia Tardy, a student at Orono High School, was recently recognized by the Legislature for being named the Gatorade State Girls Cross Country Runner of the Year.

Tia was selected based on her athletic production and the impact she made during the 2015-2016 season. She also demonstrated a high level of academic achievement and exemplary personal character.

Sen. Jim Dill of Old Town and Rep. Ryan Tipping-Spitz of Orono presented Tia with a Legislative Sentiment in recognition of her award and athletic achievements.
