Orono High School state champion cheering team honored at the State House

Sen. Dill with Rep. Tipping-Spitz and Orono Cheerleading 3.17.16The Orono High School cheerleaders were recently recognized by the Legislature for winning their first-ever state championship.

Sen. Jim Dill of Old Town and Rep. Ryan Tipping-Spitz of Orono presented the cheerleaders with a Legislative Sentiment honoring the team for winning the 2016 Class C state championship.

Members of the team include: Camille Kohtala, Ashley Smith, Audrey Carroll, Audrey Smith, Katelyn Kuwick, Ashlee Connole, Tony Manev, Riley Bowie, Chase Bruton, Hannah Gatchell, Sydney Steihl, Jordan Bagley, Amber Westley, Isabelle Bowie, Samantha Kenney, Emily Innis, Ally Jones, Becky Tocci, Harriet Card- Wil lard, Michelle Haverlock, Alexus Brown and Maddie Marks. The team is coached by Leslie Tuell and Gage Alley, along with manager Molly Berry.
