SOUTH PORTLAND — On Wednesday, Feb. 26, Sen. Anne Carney, D-Cape Elizabeth, and Reps. Matthew Beck, D-South Portland, and Deqa Dhalac, D-South Portland, presented legislative sentiments to the winners of the 10th Annual South Portland Business Awards at the ceremony in South Portland.
“It is a pleasure and an honor to join in celebrating the recipients of the 2024 South Portland Business Awards,” said Sen. Carney. “The businesses and entrepreneurs who are being recognized represent an impressive selection of the many businesses that make South Portland a thriving community, from its working waterfront and vibrant food (and ice cream) scene, to its health care and manufacturing businesses and more. I look forward to seeing these businesses continue to grow and prosper.”

The South Portland Business Awards are awarded annually by the City of South Portland’s Economic Development Committee to recognize businesses, entrepreneurs and difference-makers in the community. The 2024 awards and their winners are:

Heart of South Portland: Red’s Dairy Freeze
Sen. Carney represents Maine Senate District 29, which includes South Portland, Cape Elizabeth and part of Scarborough. Rep. Beck represents Maine House District 122, which includes part of South Portland. Rep. Dhalac represents Maine House District 120, which includes part of South Portland.
