Sen. Anne Carney welcomes South Portland Chamber Singers to Maine Senate

AUGUSTA ­­— On Tuesday, March 4, Sen. Anne Carney, D-Cape Elizabeth, welcomed the South Portland Chamber Singers of South Portland High School to the State House to perform the National Anthem. The Chamber Singers, led by Director Darrel Whidden, is an audition-based choir that performs at events across the state.

“I am so grateful to the South Portland Chamber Singers for returning to the State House and once again sharing their talents with us,” said Sen. Carney. “These impressive students have worked very hard to become the incredible singers and skilled group they are. They began our legislative day with a beautiful rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, and I look forward to welcoming them to the State House again in the future.”
