BANGOR — On Monday, Sen. Joe Baldacci, D-Bangor, spoke at the Bangor stop for Protect Our Care’s Lower Costs, Better Care nationwide bus tour. This tour aims to promote and celebrate the Inflation Reduction Act’s measures to drive down health care costs and to let Americans know how and when they can access these benefits. Bangor was the first stop on the nationwide tour.

“I was honored to be able to speak at the first stop on the Protect Our Care bus tour,” said Sen. Baldacci. “The Inflation Reduction Act will lower the costs and improve health care for millions of Americans. My colleagues and I in the Legislature here in Maine have worked hard this past session to improve health care within our state, including improving access to postpartum care and birth control and expanding Cub Care to help more Maine kids. It is always great when the federal and state government work towards similar goals to help improve the lives of as many Americans as possible.”

The bus tour will travel through 20 states over the next five weeks and make over 40 stops, traveling over 12,000 miles to talk more about the Inflation Reduction Act and its benefits.
