AUGUSTA — On Monday, Sen. Joe Baldacci, D-Bangor, provided testimony to the Legislature’s Innovation, Development, Economic Advancement and Business Committee in support of Hermon resident Renee Ouellette’s reappointment to the Finance Authority of Maine. Sen. Baldacci then voted in favor of Ouellette’s reappointment in a Senate confirmation session on Tuesday.

“When it comes to qualifications, Renee’s experience speaks for itself,” said Sen. Baldacci. “She is currently the President and CEO of the University Credit Union (UCU), and was appointed to that position back in 2019. Renee is a highly skilled finance professional with an impressive 25 years of experience. Prior to her current position, she was the Senior Vice President of Finance at UCU and is also a Certified Public Accountant. Renee has an associate’s degree in business management from Eastern Maine Technical College and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Husson University. Not only that, but she is also a graduate of the Association of Management Information in Financial Services Comprehensive Performance Measurement School. She has done incredible work with the Finance Authority of Maine, and I know she will continue to do so if reappointed.”

Ouellette was successfully reappointed to the Finance Authority of Maine by the Senate on Tuesday, Sept. 20. The vote was unanimous.
