Sen.Carpenter to hold town hall meeting in Presque Isle

AUGUSTA — Sen. Mike Carpenter, D-Houlton,  will be holding a town hall meeting  on Wednesday, April 12 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Northern Maine Community College (NMCC) on 33 Edgemont Drive in Presque Isle.

“With all that is happening in Augusta, I want to make sure that folks back home are informed on the budget, property taxes, and anything else on their mind,” said Sen. Carpenter. “I hope to hold to similar events in the district later this summer.”

All are welcome to attend the town hall with no RSVP required. During the forum, Carpenter will offer brief remarks before opening the floor to questions and concerns from constituents. He will also be joined by Senator Troy Jackson of Allagash, who represents the northern half of Aroostook County stretching from Caribou to the St. John Valley.

Carpenter represents Maine Senate District 2, which stretches roughly from Presque Isle to Patten. A map of the towns included can be found here.
