Sen. Chipman welcomes local “Doctor of the Day” to the Maine Senate

AUGUSTA — Sen. Ben Chipman, D-Portland, welcomed Dr. A. Jan Berlin, also of Portland, to the Maine Senate as the Doctor of the Day for Feb. 14, 2019. Dr. A. Jan Berlin has more than 59 years of diverse medical experience, specializing in opthamology.

Launched in 1997, the Doctor of the Day is a volunteer program that provides medical assistance at the State House in the event of a medical emergency. The program is operated with the cooperation and support of a number of organizations including the Maine Medical Association and the Maine Osteopathic Association.
