Sen. Dill earns perfect attendance record in 2019 legislative session
AUGUSTA — Sen. Jim Dill, D-Old Town, earned a perfect attendance and voting record during the recently concluded legislative session. He is one of 20 Senate Democrats to receive a perfect attendance score.
“It’s pretty simple,” said Sen. Dill. “You can’t do the job if you don’t show up. You can count on me to keep showing up and keep working for our community.”
During the 1st Regular Session of the 129th Maine Legislature, Sen. Dill cast a total of 358 votes – 100 percent of the votes recorded, excluding absences excused by the Senate President for illness or other extenuating circumstances. This year, lawmakers cast critical votes to hold “Big Pharma” accountable and lower the cost of prescription drugs, provide $130 million in property tax relief and create good-paying jobs in rural Maine.
The 129th Legislature adjourned June 20. The Legislature is set to reconvene in January.
