Sen. Gerzofsky earns perfect voting record in 2016 legislative session

Sen. Stan Gerzofsky, D-Brunswick, had a perfect attendance and voting record during the recently concluded legislative session.

Sen. Gerzofsky cast 271 votes during the 2nd Regular Session of the 127th Maine Legislature — 100 percent of the votes recorded.

“It has been an honor to serve in the Legislature for the past 16 years,” said Sen. Gerzofsky. “If there is one thing that I have learned, it is that my votes are very important to the people who elected me to represent them in Augusta. I was proud to vote on their behalf.”

During the 2nd Regular Session, lawmakers cast votes to step up the fight against drug addiction, increase investments in local schools, cut taxes for Maine homeowners and businesses and boost integrity in Maine’s welfare system.
