Forum will provide citizens opportunity to share concerns, ask questions, and learn about the state budget

AUGUSTA—State Senator Stan Gerzofsky (D-Brunswick) will be hosting his semi-annual community forum on the state budget this Saturday, May 18, from 10 a.m. until noon, at Bowdoin College. He will be joined by State Senator Dawn Hill (D-Cape Neddick), the Senate Chair of the Appropriations and Financial Affairs Committee. Senator Gerzofsky has brought the Appropriations Chair (regardless of party affiliation) to Brunswick to hear from his constituents every legislative session since 2004.

“A lot of folks in our community have expressed concerns about the proposed state budget and its impact on local taxpayers,” said Senator Gerzofsky. “I believe it is important to bring Augusta to my district. Senator Hill wants to hear what people in our communities think so that she can take their feedback with her to the committee.”

The forum will be held at the Visual Arts Center on Bowdoin College’s campus, in the Beam Classroom.
