Sen. Hickman, Rep. Shagoury honor business leader Roger Pomerleau of Hallowell

AUGUSTA — On Wednesday, May 7, Sen. Craig Hickman, D-Winthrop, and Rep. Dan Shagoury, D-Hallowell presented a legislative sentiment to Roger Pomerleau of Hallowell in the Senate chamber. Mr. Pomerleau was honored for winning the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce as part of their Kenney Awards program.

“Roger has long been a human institution in the Kennebec Valley business community,” said Sen. Hickman. “He has also devoted thousands of hours of his time to volunteering for causes and organizations in our region. Roger is the embodiment of what the Lifetime Achievement Award stands for. We thank him for his decades of work and service in our Kennebec Valley community.”

“I have known Roger for a long time, and he is always willing to give back to the community and work to improve things when he sees a problem,” said Rep. Shagoury. “I am very glad that his actions over the years are being recognized with this Lifetime Achievement Award.”

The Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce presents the Kenney Awards annually to area businesses and professionals that are deserving of attention and recognition. The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes winners for their “significant and lasting contributions to the local business climate and the well-being of the community.”
