Sen. Nate Libby of Lewiston spoke in the Senate Chamber and presented Rev. Churchill with a Legislative Sentiment in recognition of his work with the church.

Rev. Churchill came to Lewiston in 1972 and started the church with his family. He has since led the congregation for 44 years. Today, in addition to the services, the church offers food baskets to needy families, free annual Christmas concerts and free transportation to worship services.

“I thank Rev. Churchill for all his contributions to the Lewiston community over the years, and for his leadership with the church,” said Sen. Libby. “His faith has made a positive difference in the lives of many and I wish him all the best in his next journey.”
