Sen. Libby welcomes Emerge Maine member to the State House

On Thursday, February 11, members of Emerge Maine visited the State House to meet with legislators, learn more about the legislative process and share their experience through the Emerge Maine program.

Emerge Maine is part of a national network dedicated to inspiring Democratic women to run for office.

Lewiston resident, Monique Roy, participated in the event and shadowed her state senator, Nate Libby.

“It is great to see leaders like Monique stepping up ready to bring forth positive change in our state,” said Senator Libby of Lewiston. “It was a pleasure to spend the day with her and I know it is only a matter of time before we see Monique running for public office.
