Sen. Libby welcomes LA CA$H officials

Sen. Libby with CASH guestsTuesday, January 26, was EITC Day at the State House. Regional officials with CA$H, a group dedicated to helping Mainers achieve financial stability, spent part of the day meeting with their legislators, promoting CA$H programs and resources, and advocating for greater awareness of the Earned Income Tax Credit, or EITC.

“As a member of the Taxation Committee, I am proud of the work we have done over the years to enhance the Earned Income Tax Credit,” said Sen. Libby. “The Lewiston-Auburn CA$H program has really made a positive difference for many people.”

Jill Lorom of Coastal Enterprises and Lewiston-Auburn CA$H and Dottie Perham-Whittier of the City of Lewiston and co-chair of Lewiston-Auburn CA$H met up with Sen. Libby during a break in the Senate session.
