AUGUSTA — Sen. Linda Sanborn, D-Gorham, earned a perfect attendance and voting record during the recently concluded legislative session. She is one of 20 Senate Democrats to receive a perfect attendance score.

“I strongly believe in showing up and doing the right thing,” said Sen. Sanborn. “I’m proud of my votes. This session I was able to vote for, among other things, expanding access to women’s health care, taking action to fight climate change, addressing the opioid crisis and fixing child protective services. These are real changes that will help Maine people.”

During the 1st Regular Session of the 129th Maine Legislature, Sen. Sanborn cast a total of 353 votes – 100 percent of the votes recorded, excluding absences excused by the Senate President for illness or other extenuating circumstances. In addition to addressing women’s health care, climate change, the opioid crisis and child protective services, lawmakers cast critical votes this year to ban the harmful practice of “conversion therapy,” lower the cost of prescription drugs and provide $130 million in property tax relief.

Sen. Sanborn is serving her first term in the Maine Senate. The 129th Legislature adjourned June 20, and is set to reconvene in January.
