Sen. Millett Re-appointed to NEBHE and Maine Children’s Growth Council
AUGUSTA — Sen. Rebecca Millett, D-Cape Elizabeth, has been re-appointed by Senate President Troy Jackson, D-Allagash, to serve on the New England Board of Higher Education (NEBHE). Senate President Jackson also re-appointed her to serve on the Maine Children’s Growth Council.
The NEBHE was founded more than 60 years ago and works with New England’s higher education stakeholders in public and private education to support to innovation, engage conversation and drive change. The NEBHE promotes greater education opportunities and services for residents of New England and its more than 270 colleges and universities.
The Maine Children’s Growth Council was established in 2008 to achieve sustainable social and financial investments in the healthy development of Maine’s young children and their families. The council works to implement the plan for a unified, statewide early childhood services system.
