Sen. Miramant earns high marks for pro-environment voting record

Posted: September 10, 2018 | Senator Miramant

AUGUSTA — Sen. Dave Miramant, D-Camden, made the “2017-18 Honor Roll” from the Maine Conservation Voters for his consistent support for the state’s environment, as well as policies that protect public health from toxic chemicals and advance the development and adoption of clean, renewable energy.

Maine Conservation Voters scored nine key environmental votes during this year’s legislative session. Sen. Miramant received a 100 percent score for his votes.

“We must continue to protect Maine’s beautiful natural landscape for future generations. Among other things, that means pursuing clean, renewable energy like solar power — which can also produce benefits for our economy,” said Sen. Miramant. “I am proud of my environmental record in Augusta and thank Maine Conservation Voters for their work.”

Miramant joins 15 other Senate Democrats and one Senate Republican who earned perfect scores for their votes on conservation, energy efficiency, clean power generation and public health.
