AUGUSTA — On Wednesday, Feb. 21, Sen. Eloise Vitelli, D-Arrowsic, welcomed Bath Middle School students Olliver Roderiques and Stellan Matzke to the Senate Chamber. Olliver and Stellan served as Honorary Pages.

“Olliver and Stellan were outstanding Honorary Pages,” said Sen. Vitelli. “I am very impressed with their willingness to travel to the State House and be with us today. I hope it was a memorable experience for both of them, and hopefully they will urge their classmates and friends to serve as Honorary Pages, too.”

On session days, the Senate Secretary’s Office manages the Honorary Page Program in the Maine State Senate. Open to students in third grade through twelfth grade, Honorary Pages perform various duties such as delivering messages; distributing documents within the Senate Chamber; interacting with State Senators; and – most importantly – taking part in a real world, legislative learning experience.
