Sen. Vitelli welcomes Bath, Mt. Ararat Middle School students to the Maine Senate
AUGUSTA — On Tuesday, Sen. Eloise Vitelli, D-Arrowsic, welcomed Bath and Mt. Ararat Middle School students including Nolan Michaud of Topsham, Nori Edwards of Bowdoinham, and Jazzlyn Hogan of Bath to the Senate Chamber. These students served as Honorary Pages.
“It was a full house in the Senate Chamber,” said Sen. Vitelli. “Seeing these students brought great joy to my day. Together, they helped our work flow smoothly. If you would like to serve as an Honorary Page, please let me know. I would be honored to welcome you, too.”
On session days, the Senate Secretary’s Office also manages the Honorary Page Program in the Maine State Senate. Open to students in third grade through twelfth grade, Honorary Pages perform various duties such as delivering messages, distributing documents within the Senate Chamber, interacting with State Senators, and – most importantly – taking part in a real world, legislative learning experience. To sign up to serve as an Honorary Page, contact Alex Ferguson at (207) 287-1540 or Alex.Ferguson@legislature.maine.gov.
