SENATOR HILL RECEIVES PERFECT SCORE ON LABOR RECORD
Labor union praises lawmaker for commitment to working families
AUGUSTA – Senator Dawn Hill of York has received a 100% rating from the Maine AFL-CIO for her support of working families during the second session of the 126th Legislature.
“I’m thrilled to be recognized for my record on standing with Maine workers,” said Senator Hill, “I will always stand by the working people of my district and this state. It is imperative we continue to support and advocate for workers from the naval shipyard in Kittery, to the Madawaska Paper Mill in Aroostook County.”
Senator Hill is among 18 Democratic senators to receive a perfect score from the union, which represents more than 42,000 workers and retirees here in Maine. The AFL-CIO represents working Mainers in paper mills, shipyards, hospitals, and many other industries in the state.
Senator Hill is serving her second term in the Maine Senate and represents the towns of Eliot, Kittery, Ogunquit, South Berwick, and York.
