Thornton Academy Student Visits the Maine Senate
AUGUSTA – Thornton Academy student Sabryna Collins-Hall of Saco recently served as an Honorary Page in the Maine Senate for the day as a guest of Senate Democratic Leader Barry Hobbins of York County. Hobbins invited Sabryna to the State House for earning a spot on the schools honor roll.
Sabryna is pictured below with Senator Hobbins in the Senate Chamber.
The Honorary Page program gives students an opportunity to participate in the process and interact with Legislators. Honorary Pages have the opportunity to see what it is like to work on the floor of the Senate and be part of a legislative session.
Barry Hobbins is Senator for District 5 and a practicing attorney in Saco. He represents the communities of Buxton, Dayton, Old Orchard Beach, Saco, and part of Biddeford. Senator Hobbins is the Senate Democratic Leader.
