BRUNSWICK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) — Another company is setting up shop at Brunswick Landing. Molnycke Healthcare, will join companies such as Kestrel Aviation, Maine Tooling and Machine, Resilient Communications, and ABC Shipping at the former naval air station.

Governor Paul LePage and legislators say they have been working hard to attract business that will offer high skilled, high paying jobs.

“Here in Brunswick, we are going to lead the way out of this recession Governor, we’ve talked about it in the past. We’re passing legislation up in Augusta, to help make that possible. We’re trying to create new industries here, that don’t exsist in the State of Maine,” said state Sen. Stan Gerzofsky (D-Brunswick).

Molnycke Healthcare, which is based in Sweden, plans to remove an existing warehouse at the old Air Station, and replace it with a 79,000 square foot facility that will employ about 100 people.

The new plant will process medical foam made by a company in Wiscasset, into advanced dressings for wounds.
