Sen. Beebe-Center hosts two honorary student pages at the State House
AUGUSTA — On Tuesday, April 29, Sen. Pinny Beebe-Center, D-Rockland, welcomed Ida and Thea Foster of St. George and Ana Ames of Rockland to the State House to serve as Honorary Student Pages.
“Ida and Thea did such a wonderful job supporting both myself and my colleagues on the Senate floor,” said Sen. Beebe-Center. “Things can get very hectic very quickly, but the two of them were quick on their feet and were able to help whenever they were needed. They are great kids that come from a great family, and I can’t wat to hear about what they accomplish next.”
On session days, the Senate Secretary’s Office manages the Honorary Student Page Program in the Maine State Senate. Open to students in third grade through twelfth grade, Honorary Student Pages perform various duties such as delivering messages, distributing documents within the Senate Chamber, interacting with State Senators, and taking part in a real-world legislative learning experience.
