Sen. Denise Tepler welcomes valedictorian of class of 2025 of Morse High School

AUGUSTA — Today, Sen. Denise Tepler, D-Topsham, welcomed Aurora Guzzetti, a senior at Morse High School, to the Maine Senate to present her with a legislative sentiment for being the named the Valedictorian of the graduating Class of 2025. Aurora was joined by her mother, Jean Guzzetti, who serves as the Ward 2 city councilor in the City of Bath.

“I am so proud to welcome Aurora and her mother to the Senate chamber,” said Sen. Denise Tepler. “Aurora is the top student in her class and will certainly be one of the leaders of tomorrow. Her academic excellence, leadership and community service is a testament to her involvement at Morse High School and an inspiration for those around her.”

Aurora is involved in many extracurricular activities at Morse High School, including being the top singles player on the Morse Girls Tennis team, serving on the Speech and Debate Team and participating in theater productions with the Drama Club. She also serves as a student representative on the RSU 1 School Board of Education.

Aurora intends to continue her academic journey after graduation by studying Astrophysics at Harvard University in the fall.

A legislative sentiment acknowledges and recognizes academic, athletic, civic, professional or service-related accomplishments.
