AUGUSTA — Sen. Susan Deschambault, D-Biddeford, earned a perfect attendance and voting record during the recently concluded legislative session. She is one of 21 Senate Democrats to receive a perfect attendance score.

“I take this work very seriously,” said Sen. Deschambault, “which is why it matters to me that I am here and ready to do whatever is needed to get the job done and advocate for Mainers.”

During the 1st Regular Session of the 129th Maine Legislature, Sen. Deschambault cast a total of 320 votes – 100 percent of the votes recorded, excluding absences excused by the Senate President for illness or other extenuating circumstances. This year, lawmakers cast critical votes to hold “Big Pharma” accountable and lower the cost of prescription drugs, provide $130 million in property tax relief and put renewable energy back on track.

Sen. Deschambault also had a perfect attendance record in the previous legislative session. The 129th Legislature adjourned June 20 and is set to reconvene in January.
