Sen. Dill recognizes retiring University of Maine System Chancellor James Page

AUGUSTA — On Monday, Sen. Jim Dill, D-Old Town, honored retiring University of Maine System Chancellor James Page on the floor of the Maine Senate. Appointed to the position in 2012 by the University of Maine System Board of Trustees, Chancellor Page will retire on July 1 of this year. The Board of Trustees has appointed former Connecticut Governor Dannell Malloy to be the next Chancellor.

“I want to thank Jim for his determination and leadership,” said Sen. Dill in his remarks on the Senate floor.  “The University of Maine System is poised for success in the future. He will definitely be missed.”

Sen. Dill presented Chancellor Page with a legislative sentiment recognizing his service to the University of Maine System and the people of Maine.
