Sen. Pierce, Rep. Kuhn honor Falmouth native and Paralympian, Clara Brown, at the State House
AUGUSTA — On Tuesday, Sen. Teresa S. Pierce, D-Falmouth, and Rep. Amy Kuhn, D-Falmouth, welcomed Falmouth native Clara Brown, the 2024 bronze medalist in the C1-3 road race cycling event at the 2024 Paris Paralympics. Brown was presented a legislative sentiment sponsored by Rep. Kuhn and cosponsored by Sen. Pierce.

“Clara’s impressive record of success has made Falmouth and the entire state of Maine very proud,” said Sen. Pierce. “As an elite athlete on the grand stage, her dedication and resilience powered her to finish atop the best Paralympians in the world. It was my pleasure to honor her success, alongside her family, with my colleagues in the Senate.”
“Having known Clara for many years, it was such an honor to watch her compete and bring home the bronze medal this past summer at the Paris Paralympics,” said Rep. Kuhn. “Her strength, tenacity and joy serve as an inspiration, not only to those in her hometown of Falmouth, but to all Mainers.”
A legislative sentiment acknowledges and recognizes academic, artistic, athletic, civic, professional or service-related accomplishments. It is approved by the full Legislature and signed by the President of the Senate, Speaker of the House, Secretary of the Senate and Clerk of the House.
